Frida's Field - Nashua

Frida’s Field is a beautiful 120 acre farm and restaurant which offers guests contemporary country dining. There are three long lunches per week curated by award-winning chef Alastair Waddell, bookings are essential.

Doma Cafe - Federal

A magnet for locals, day-trippers and people travelling through the hinterland, Doma consistently serves up some of the best Japenese in the region. You’ll also find homemade burgers, chips and a daily specials board to choose from.

The Farm - Ewingsdale

The Farm Byron Bay is an 80 acre working farm and plant nursury where you’ll find the Three Blue Ducks Restaurant, The Bread Social Bakery and Baylato Gelato. Once you’ve eaten wander the fields home to pigs, Scottish Highland cattle & chickens who all roam freely.

Byron Moonshine Coffee - Federal

A family-owned and operated Wholesale Roastery, the original Moonshine Coffee is hidden in the hinterland hills of Federal. Serving coffee seven days a week, Moonshine delivers a coffee that is sustainable, approachable and consistently delicious.

Ciao, Mate! - Bangalow

Open for lunch and dinner Thursday to Monday, Ciao Mate offers a cosy and warm atmosphere. Treat yourself with delicious wood-fired pizza, pasta and side plates alongside a mix of Australian & Italian natural wines and beer.

Eltham Hotel - Eltham

Open Tuesdays through to Sundays, the lovingly restored 118-year old Eltham pub was built when the town was a bustling railway village and has been a favourite meeting place ever since. Stop in for a beer, pub gold standard meals and live music.

Clunes Store & Cafe - Clunes

A boutique cellar, a bustling café, a post office all in one. The Clunes Cafe is open seven days a week, offering only the best fresh produce, local artisan products, boutique wines and craft beers.

Harvest - Newrybar

Harvest creates fabulous fresh food sourced from local artisan producers and the restaurant’s own gardens. A historic bakery with spectacular pastries, a restaurant with mouthwatering dishes and a local delicatessen full of artisan goods, there’s plenty to choose from.

Butcher Baker - Bangalow

Inspired by the age-old artisan trades of butchery and baking, this spacious modern café combines a love of meat, bread and beer. Bread, pastries and sweet treats are baked on-site and fresh and local ingredients are used where possible.

Nature

Goonengerry National Park

Walk or mountain bike the numerous fire trails and explore the 10km Goonengerry Waterfall loop track to see the two beautiful waterfalls that plunge into the valley below. To head straight for the waterfalls take the clockwise direction of the loop track.

Cycling, hiking, bushwalking, swimming and fishing, this spectacular rainforest has something for everyone. There are 6 trails to choose from for all ages and experience levels, each one ranging from 4km up to 19km.

Stunning waterfalls, crystal clear creeks and caves filled with glow worms, Nightcap National Park is perfect for those with an adventurous spirit. Enjoy a picnic or bushwalk on one of the many lush rainforest trails.

Minyon Falls - Nightcap NP

Minyon Falls - Nightcap NP

Surrounded by ancient rainforests, the waterfall cascades around 100-metres over cliffs that were once part of the Tweed Volcano. Head to the Minyon Falls Lookout and if you’re looking to take a dip, the quickest trail to the base of the falls is from the Minyon Grass Picnic Area.

Protesters Falls - Nightcap NP

Take the beautiful but easy 1.3km walk to Protesters Falls which was named after the Terania Creek protests of the late 1970s that saved this precious patch of pristine rainforest. There is no swimming in the area as it is home to the endangered Fleay’s barred frog.

Venture across the elevated boardwalk and pontoon bridge, go platypus spotting and enjoy a picnic by the lake. There are benches, barbecue facilities, children’s play equipment and a number of walking trails for a fun family day out.

Held every Saturday from 7am till 11am, the Bangalow Farmers Market is made up of 25 stalls with all the best local fruit, vegies, pasta, cheese, bread and a range of meats including beef, lamb, pork, seafood and chicken.
