Covid Policy

 

Our cancellation policy is continually being reviewed to ensure that we are taking into account the developments associated with COVID-19.
If government COVID-19 restrictions come into place for the time of your stay you can either receive a refund less 5% of the total booking (minimum fee $150) or a full booking credit to use within 12 months. Should there be a difference in rates, the balance will be due 14 days prior to arrival. 
 
If you have commenced your stay and government COVID-19 restrictions come into place and you have to leave due to time-constraints (such as having to cross a state border by a certain time) you will receive a full credit of the nights you could not stay, or a refund of the nights not used less 5%. 
 
In the event your booking is affected by government mandated occupancy restrictions, we can provide a refund less 5% of the total booking. 

Your cancellation request under this policy must relate to Covid-19 and must provide;

a.       Driver’s licence with residential address and a reference document with the government public authority direction confirming your claim and cancellation request.

Beach Houses of Byron reserves the right to assess and determine a request for cancellation and/or refund.

Terms & Conditions

PAYMENT OF PRE PAYMENT OR FULL PAYMENT CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The terms and conditions of booking are subject to change without notice.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully. When you make a booking, you accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions. 

It is your responsibility to ensure that all the details on your confirmation documents are correct and to bring to our attention any errors or discrepancies within 48 hours of your booking.

By making a booking for accommodation, guests warrant they have read these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them subject to such changes as are notified to them.

 

Booking Conditions, Rates and Payments

All rates quoted are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.

A booking confirmation must be obtained. If a booking confirmation is not obtained, the booking is not confirmed.

It is the responsibility of the guest to review the booking confirmation and promptly advise Beach Houses of Byron if there are any errors or misunderstandings.

To make a booking, a non-refundable pre payment of 10% of the booking balance must be paid to Beach Houses of Byron. The balance is payable 14 days prior to arrival.

The pre payment must be received within 24 hours. If a deposit is not received by this time, we will assume you no longer require the reservation, and it will be cancelled.

A 1.5% surcharge applies for all Visa and Mastercard transactions.

By providing credit card details, guests warrant they have the authority to use the credit card and they authorise Beach Houses of Byron to charge the cost of their booking(s) to that credit card.

Non-payment within these terms may forfeit your booking.

Beach Houses Of Byron Bay Pty Ltd engages a limited payment collection agent to provide payment to our hosts. This means that upon payment of the total price to Beach Houses Of Byron your payment obligation to the host of the property you have booked is satisfied. 

 

Accommodation

All accommodation is subject to availability.

Beach Houses of Byron will endeavour to provide the accommodation but reserves the right to refuse requests for bookings or actual bookings.

 

Arrival and Departure

Check in is from 3pm.

Check out is by 10am. At this time, you must check out of the house and return the single key to the key box. A replacement fee will apply should the key(s) be missing.

Rubbish is to be removed and placed in garbage bins located at the side of the house. Pick up all rubbish and bottle tops from the house, decks, and gardens.

All furniture is to be placed back in its original position.

The kitchen is to be left as it was found with all dishes, cutlery etc, cleaned and put away. The BBQ is to be cleaned.

Any damages, breakages or missing items must be reported to management.

 

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your booking or any additional services, you must contact Beach Houses of Byron by email at info@beachhousesofbyron.com.au or by phone on 02 6684 7471. We cannot guarantee that any changes can be made.

No refund will be granted where a booking is cancelled after 4pm 14 days prior to the arrival date.

No refund will be granted in the event a guest does not arrive for their booking or cancels on the date of their booking.

A cancellation confirmation email must be obtained. If a cancellation email is not received, the booking remains in effect.

 

Insurance

We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance to cover the loss of monies paid in the event of having to cancel your reservation.

Security Bond

A security bond of $1,000.00 per house will be held (pre-authorization only). The security bond is in addition to the cost of the reservation.

Person(s) booking accommodation are responsible for any loss or damage to it.

Should there be any damage to the house, articles therein, missing items, or excess cleaning due to the house being left in an unacceptable state, these monies will be taken out of the security bond.

The bond is fully refundable after departure providing the property is left in a clean, tidy and undamaged condition.

 

Noise & Party Policy

Strictly no parties, events or Schoolies.

Excessive noise or any parties will not be tolerated; Beach Houses of Byron reserves the right to terminate the reservation immediately, without refund. 

Guests must not create noise which is offensive to neighbours especially between 10pm – 7am and during arrival/departure at any time throughout the occupancy.

Offensive noise is prohibited and may result in:

  1. Termination of permission to occupy the property;
  2. eviction;
  3. loss of rental paid; and
  4. extra charges for security and expenses which may be deducted from the security bond.

 

Security Call Outs

The Holiday Letting Organisation Security call outs are charged at $165inc GST per call out. After a second complaint you may be evicted without refund.

Number of Guests

The number of guests must not exceed the amount stipulated in the itinerary or maximum allowed at the property. Breaches will result in bond deduction or eviction without refund.

No Smoking

Smoking is not permitted on the property or within the house under any circumstances. Any evidence of smoking will result in the full security bond being forfeited.

 

Special Requests

Whilst we attempt to satisfy all special requests, we are unable to provide a guarantee.

 

Maps and Images

Map images, if shown, are for general information and may not necessarily reflect latest or actual services and geography.

 

No Tenancy

You agree that regardless of your length of stay there is no tenancy or other rights created under any Landlord and Tenant laws and there are no such laws that apply to your stay. The booking with Beach Houses of Byron is not a residential tenancy agreement under residential tenancy legislations. Failure to comply with any of the guest’s fundamental obligations and the terms and conditions of the property may result in immediate termination and eviction. The guest is granted a licence to occupy the accommodation for the agreed booking period. Refunds will not be paid on terminated occupancies.

 

Property Presentation

The description of the premises is given in good faith. From time to time, changes occur at properties, sometimes by owners and outside of Beach Houses of Byron control or knowledge therefore no responsibility for irregularities will be accepted.

 

Unplanned Outages

During periods of extreme weather events, power supply to properties can be interrupted due to unplanned outages. These power outages will also affect WiFi as the routers will be disabled.

These outages are out of the control of Beach Houses of Byron and no responsibility will be taken. We will however assist all guests during these periods to keep them up to date with the situation and instructions from the authorities, and to ensure their safety.

 

Personal And Lost Property

No responsibility will be taken by Beach Houses of Byron for guest’s personal property. If items are left at a property, Beach Houses of Byron will contact the cleaners to determine whether the items were located. If located, guests are required to send a postage paid, return addressed envelope to the office for the items to be returned. Return costs and tracking of items are the responsibility of the guest.

 

No Animals & Pets

This property is not pet-friendly. Pets are only permitted at pet-friendly properties if pre-arranged with and approved by Beach Houses of Byron in writing and is provided on a case-by-case basis.

 

Changes Beyond Our Control

Compensation will not apply if a significant change is made for reasons beyond our control. These include war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks, changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or alteration of the airline or aircraft type; closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, act of government or public authorities or other circumstances amounting to force majeure and/or Acts of God.

 

Breach Of Terms And Conditions

You agree that, should you or your guests breach any of the terms and conditions:

You will pay to us the total loss or damage that we suffer as a result of that breach and hereby authorise us to debit your credit card or apply your refundable deposit in payment of that loss or damage and we may evict you and your guests without notice

PAYMENT OF PRE PAYMENT OR FULL PAYMENT CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We always do our best to ensure your arrangements are satisfactory. Beach Houses of Byron management and employees shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses, accident, delay, changes in accommodation, breakdown in equipment or vehicles, weather, strike, sickness, theft, cancellation or the foregoing shall likewise not be liable for any injury, damage, loss additional expenses, accident, delay or irregularity, whether to the property, person, or otherwise arising in connection with any accommodation or in connection with any vehicle or transport or other services.
