Separate from the Homestead, the Japanese-inspired guest Pod creates a private retreat within the estate. With its own queen bedroom, ensuite and stone bath, plus a separate lounge with a pull-out sofa bed, it’s ideal for grandparents, a second couple or family members who appreciate having their own space while remaining part of the holiday.
Outside, the spectacular 20-metre swimming pool stretches out towards uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. Spend warm afternoons moving between the pool and pavilion, find a spot on the lawn to soak up the sunshine or simply watch the changing light move across the hills. Beautiful outdoor ceramic and copper baths offer another special place to unwind beneath the open sky, while 52 acres provide a sense of privacy and openness rarely found this close to Byron Bay.
Despite feeling wonderfully secluded, Aurora House places the best of the Byron region within easy reach. Byron Bay is just 10 minutes away for spontaneous beach mornings, lunches in town and sunset swims, while the charming village of Bangalow is around eight minutes away for cafés, restaurants and boutique shopping. Spend your days exploring the beaches and villages of the Northern Rivers, or stay exactly where you are and enjoy the rare luxury of having 52 private acres to yourselves.
Aurora House is a peaceful place for families and friends to spend meaningful time together and is not suitable for parties, weddings, events or functions. Only registered guests are permitted at the property, and we kindly ask that the peaceful nature of the estate and surrounding area is respected throughout your stay.
For small personal laundry items, a washing machine is located beneath the sink in the pool pavilion. For larger loads, laundromats are available nearby in both Bangalow and Byron Bay.
